Enjoy this 3 Days Murchison Falls National Park Safari on Uganda’s largest National Park which protects a chunk of untamed African Savannah bisected by the mighty river Nile. It is named after the Murchison Falls, where the world’s longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below. Inquire NowWildlife populations have largely recovered from the poaching of the 1980s; in the lush borassus grassland to the north of the Nile, elephant, buffalo, giraffe and a variety of antelope are regularly encountered on game drives, while lion are seen with increasing frequency. The Nile itself hosts one of Africa’s densest hippo and crocodile populations, and a dazzling variety of water birds including the world’s most accessible wild population of the rare shoebill stork.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala – Murchison Falls

Begin the panoramic drive north-west through the famous Luweero Triangle and Masindi Town to start off with a morning drive to Murchison via Masindi. Branch off for a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided Rhino walk and picnic lunch. Continue to the spectacularly site at the top of the fall where you can see the Nile’s beauty perfected!! Marvel at the Nile, compressing from up to 1 km squeeze through a 7 meter canyon dropping 45 meters with a thunderous roar creating a beautiful rainbow, a plume of spray and the best thing that happened to the Nile…”the Murchison Falls”. Enjoy the sunset as you return to the lodge. Enjoy the superb comfort at either Parra safari Lodge (lodge facility) or Red Chili hideaway (Low budget/basic accommodation). Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park Safari Tour

Begin your day with a cup of African coffee ready for a game drive, bird watching and sightseeing across the open Savannah dotted woodland and riverine vegetation along the Nile and Albert delta. Here expect to meet elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, water buck and a countless population birds, return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, a three hour boat trip along the Nile gives you assured chance to see the falls from the bottom angle. Hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and aquatic birds can be seen along the shores of the River. Dinner and overnight at either Paraa safari Lodge (lodge facility) or Red Chili hideaway (Low budget/basic accommodation). Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Entebbe out

Wake up at 6:00am prepared to take a photograph of the African rising sun in the morning and enjoy African breakfast. Drive back to Masindi using the same route for lunch. Return to Kampala at leisure where you are dropped to a place of your choice or Entebbe Airport for your flight to next destination.
