Overview
Samburu National Park- is one of the lesser known parks but never the less teeming with wildlife. Situated along side Ewaso-Nyiro River, there is plenty to attract the wildlife from the surrounding savannah plains. There are various activities that visitors can engage in while at the reserve. These includes: Game drives, bird watching, sundowners, bush breakfast, nature walks, river rafting (depending on water level) and the Samburu cultural experience. Wild life: there are so many rare species including Gravy’s Zebra, the miracle lioness that adopted the baby Oryx is a resident in the reserve, leopards, cheetah, the wild dogs and many more .The reserve is home to more than 450 species of birds. Lake Nakuru National Park- Lies 140 km northwest of Nairobi in Nakuru county .The alkaline lake has a crusty shore line, surrounded by wooded and bushy grasslands .It is famouse for flamingos (Greater and Lesser )that turn the shoreline crimson including 450 species of birds. The park is also rich in wildlife with both species of rhinos( balck and white), buffalo,lions,cheetah,leopards,spotted hyena, baboons,vervet monkeys and the resident wilderbeest.
